Our Aluminium 5754 flat bars are made from the 5xxx-series alloy known as AlMg3—aluminium content around 94.2 % to 97.4 %, magnesium about 2.6 % to 3.6 %, with small amounts of chromium, manganese, silicon, iron and zinc. Machine MFG Shop+1 Mechanically, depending on temper, ultimate tensile strength typically ranges up to ~330 MPa and yield strength around 80–190 MPa in harder tempers. WixSteel+1 The alloy offers good elongation and excellent corrosion resistance, making it both strong and formable for many uses.
