These flanges exhibit a tensile strength in the region of ~240‑310 MPa and yield strength around ~210‑260 MPa, depending on the exact alloy and temper. They maintain ductility (elongation 8–12%) and provide good machinability, weldability and fatigue resistance for many service conditions. With their aluminium construction, these flanges offer reduced weight compared with steel equivalents, while retaining structural integrity for many industrial uses.
